SHIA Restaurant is cultivating the next generation of culinary leaders. Our immersive program goes far beyond the kitchen, combining rigorous mentorship and training with essential business acumen and leadership skills. Through programs like "Pitch Day" and the "A Taste of Adventure" series, we give chefs the opportunity to showcase their unique culinary voices to new audiences and build innovative, successful careers. We're shaping the future of food, together.

PITCH DAY

SHIA’s Pitch Day is a 12-week hybrid educational program for chefs transitioning to ownership. The curriculum focuses on brand strategy, financial literacy, restaurant operations, lease consulting, and public speaking—skills vital to becoming a restaurateur beyond the kitchen. Through mentorship from veteran chefs and operators, participants refine their business models for a final in-person pitch to a panel of restaurateurs and industry stakeholders. The selected winner receives $5,000 in seed funding to support their restaurant opening.

 

A Taste of Adventure

In partnership with YETI, SHIA presents A Taste of Adventure: a launchpad for the next generation of culinary talent. This program challenges rising chefs to lead a full restaurant service, executing a signature five-course menu before a live audience. It is a vital opportunity for chefs to refine their brand strategy, build confidence, and gain the market visibility required to transition into leadership roles.
